I am glad to see that so many on this board agree with the fact that indeed a new "breed of Witnesses" are emerging. The conference calls that we have been having for the last two months are bringing 'active Witnesses' in. This format, somehow, is being viewed by active Witnesses as "Witness friendly". Not only have 'active Witnesses commented on the conference call but, it has been confirmed that there are also many listening in. We are in the process of making it more comfortable for Witnesses by the use of software that will distort their voices. They cannot make "sense out of nonsense". All of this, coupled with the trouble the Watchtower org. has found themselves in recently, much publicized news reports on child molestation, involvement with the United Nations, deaths of Witnesses for refusing blood transfusions, selling off of high end real estate, and making millions on the sales, is forcing many newer Jehovah's Witnesses, as well as older ones, to "stick their heads OUT OF THE COCOON". The "new breed" of Witnesses seem to still connect with much of the Watchtower,s doctrine on things such as Paradise Earth,only 144,000 going to heaven, God's channel on earth, etc. but, they are now challenging many of the rigid rules such as, disfellowshipping, higher education, how to dress, told not to do independant research outside the Watchtower publications, don't view critical websites and other things. All of above is "coming back to haunt them"! The Watchtower org., in itself, has created this "new breed" of Witnesses, and they are not "COMING HOME TO ROOST! A few years ago Mr. Kool Aid Man and I (HIs wife), were invited to an anniversary party for some old friends of ours at the home of a sister who had a parallel Bible. That prompted us to get one for ourselves and compare it with the New World Translation. That really opened our eyes to understanding the REAL truth! The journey to understanding what God really wants us to know is an ongoing one, to say the least. But, it is worth it all as it means our eternal life. That is our "favorite Book". It is the "only" book ever written that can help us attain eternal life by believing on Jesus Christ.

Awakened at Gilead, I'm glad you listened in and I appreciate the feedback. We are trying to make the conference call more interesting and are "fine tuning"it as we go along. Let me assure you that the Witnesses who were on that call are real, active Jehovah's Witnesses and we were all amazed how vocal they were concerning the Watchtower. The "anointed", study conducting Ministerial Servant had lots to say about the problems in the Watchtower org. He was excited to have so many on the phone line asking him questions and he seemed to enjoy the "limelight". His active Jehovah's Witness pioneer sister also was speaking up and we were all enthused to hear what they had to say. Many former Witnesses did not believe the things he was saying as he seems to represent the "new breed" of Witnesses, that is he and his family are not showing total loyalty to the Watchtower. The Jehovah's Witnesses on the call said if they were disfellowshipped, their family would still speak with them and we all know that is not the protocol of the organization. The Witnesses were fascinating to listen to and, many people will be dialing up the call this week to hear what they have to say.
